Pralaya Yoga

I teach Pralaya yoga. It has been founed by Robert Boustany. Pralaya yoga is a relatively new form of yoga that is rooted in anatomical/medical science and designed for postural balance, intelligent movement and stress reduction. The difference with the other yoga styles is that these poses are deeply thought out and very effective. Every being would benefit from this form of yoga.

Currently, I teach Pralaya yoga at the TU Delft university and some private schools. Besides, I guide (elite) rowers towards peak performances by cultivating their body awareness and mind control. Next, I support people with breathing properly by working on diaphragm strength and flexibility.

Yoga for athletes (Groups)

For nearly every sport, yoga can benefit. Some of the common benefits are:

  • Enhancement neuromuscular coordination
  • Injury prevention
  • Flexibility
  • ‘Feeling’ instead of ‘thinking’
  • Mental coaching
  • Core stability
  • Stress reduction, for faster recovery

In topsport you understand how body and mind are deeply connected and you can reach best performance only if they are in balance. Nicolai with his enthusiasm, experience and vision, already succeeded in bringing the athletes to a higher level.

Francesco Fossi, Headcoach DSRV Laga

Nicolai knows the perfect exercises for the weak spots of the body. He has an in-depth knowledge of the human body and combines this with his experience as an athlete. It helped me to gain more strenght and flexibility in my shoulders for the frontcrawl.

Boris, DSR WAVE

I now have flexibility and power at the same time!

And yoga just makes me feel great. Warm muscles. Clear mind. Thanks Nico

Stijn, Student TU Delft

Nicolai’s yoga lessons help me increase awareness of my body movement during rowing and have relaxing effect on the mind. He also takes injuries into account and gives different exercises for these people.

Sietse, Elite Rower

Nico gave me methods of how to calm down the mind just before a moment of peak performance. They do the work. Besides, Nico gave me detailed advices about the shoulder joint and how to improve specific strenght. It helped me.
